Huawei just a few days ago showed off its tri-fold device, although the retail launch date is not yet confirmed, the announcement gathered so much interest that Huawei received over 2 million pre-orders in China. The price is still a question though, with price ranging from $2800-$3500.

The tri-fold device which was announced just hours after the Apple event, became viral in China. It features 2 hinges, instead of the usual one, making the device more complicated. The design has already been shown, as shown in the image, and is supposedly going to add a lot of new hardware such as bigger battery and more space for new additions to the hardware.

It weighs 300gms, and has a 5600mah battery, which should be good enough for a days worth of use, given that the screen size is bigger. The chip information has been kept vague again, like previous huawei launch, but expect it to perform similar.

The phone opens up fully to be 10 inches, with a main camera, along with an ultrawide and a periscope lens.

The specs on this device aren't all fancy, given the price, so expect this phone to become more of a niche success, as a status symbol or for enthusiasts. The heavy weight and big size also make it inconvenient for carrying around and using it on the go, during a busy day. Not to mention the design makes it more prone to physical damage and less durable than a slab phone.

Overall, its a great phone. Especially for people who are invested in technology, its a welcome change in the foldable market, just to make things more interesting and stir up the competition.
