Green/Pink line display issues have been reported in both A series and S series in the last 5 years.

However lately these issues have reduced a lot, but still prevalent in some regions like South Asia and Africa.

Perhaps the quality control of phones in these region is worse than that of China, Europe, and the U.S.

With the amount of devices Samsung sells globally, the % of issues seem to be very controlled.

Devices affected:
S20/21/22 series: Users of these devices have reported pink/green line issues in the South Asian region(especially). Some got it on their new phones, suggesting poor quality checks during assembly.

A series:  Again, for Samsung there are no particular models that are severely affected but many cases of display issues have been reported throughout the last 4 years.

M series: M series phone had its fair share of issues, with many models being affected by poor quality checks. This affected the display along with occasional color shifts in the camera. There were some complaints of motherboard failures as well, in the early models of M series but seem to be fixed by now. The issue seems to be either related to poor quality control, or exposure to high temperatures consistently for a continuous period of time.

Green/Pink line display issues have been reported in Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco phones. Poco and Redmi phones have especially been infamous for dead motherboard issues, along with wifi module going bad.

With the amount of devices Xiaomi sells, these issues seem to somewhat controlled, but more frequent than Samsung.

Devices affected:
All poco phones: A decent % of Poco phones have been reported to have display issues, dead motherboards, as well as poor wifi reception. Poco had to increase warranty to 2 years in newer devices, to assure consumers that the issues have been fixed.

Redmi:  Redmi phones haven't had any widespread issues with display, but dead motherboard have been reported quite frequently.

Xiaomi: Out of all 3, Xiaomi has had the least issues known. They did have Motherboard issues, Adware preinstalled in MIUI, and display issues from 2014-2018, but all those issues have been fixed now. These issues seemed to be have been due to regional manufacturing and quality control, affecting mostly South Asian and African countries. The most recent issues they've had is in their mi11 ultra series: Wifi module or motherboard issue, along with some users getting display issues.
12 series: Users also reported 12 series getting display/motherboard issues after a year, partly thanks to software updates. But Xiaomi were quick to address and fix these issues.

Green/Pink line display issues have been reported in Iphone models globally in the last 5 years. However, Apple has done a lot to resolve these issues and be in direct contact with each customer affected. This helps them in reducing the negative publicity, but also helps customer to be in contact with the company. The battery quality has also gone down since the pandemic, with battery health deteriorating faster.

With the amount of devices Apple sells globally, the % of issues seem to be the lowest.

Devices affected:

All iPhones since iPhone 12 - No widespread motherboard issue that have been reported, except for isolated cases. Only display issues, in very small numbers, related to software updates, and faster degradation of battery health in iPhone 14 and 15.

Green/Pink line display issues, and motherboard issues have both been reported in several moto devices.

Again, these issues seem to be more prevalent in South Asia and Africa, pointing towards poor quality checks during assembly. These issues seem to be more widespread in the last 3 years, so the score is lower.

With the amount of devices Motorola sells globally, the % of issues seem to be somewhat controlled but still worse than others.

Devices affected:

Moto G52: Green/Pink line issue and motherboard issue both have been present. With display issues being more prominent.

Moto G72: Motherboard and Display issues both have been there, however in this device motherboard issues seem more prevalent.

Edge series 20 & 30: Display and Motherboard issues both seem to be present, but not as much as the G52/72.

Green/Pink line display issues, and motherboard issues have both been reported in several oneplus devices over the years.

Again, these issues seem to be more prevalent in South Asia and Africa, pointing towards poor quality checks during assembly. These issues seem to be more widespread in the last 3 years, so the score is lower.

With the amount of devices Oneplus sells globally, the % of issues used to be worse 5 years ago but have been better controlled in the last 3 years.

Devices affected:

Oneplus 9 and 10: Both of these devices have been affected not only by display issues such as green/pink line, but also a recent update(August 2024) has been causing motherboard failures. Oneplus even addressed the issues publicly since it was blowing up on social media and have promised to resolve the issues for all affected consumers.

Oneplus 7 and 8: Again, all the phones in these series were affected by both green line and motherboard issues. These issues are what caused a period of anxiety for oneplus. It was only in the last 3 years(since the 10 launch) that they improve their public image again.(But now, again, they are having motherboard issues with 9 & 10).

Green/Pink line display issues, and motherboard issues have both been reported in older vivo devices, while green line issues have been reported in iqoo devices. However, these cases have been by far the fewest among chinese brands, especially in IQOO.

Contrary to how issues got worse for most companies post-pandemic, Vivo and IQOO improved their quality drastically in the last 4 years.

With the amount of devices Vivo & IQOO sell globally, the % of issues is very controlled. They had their fair share of issues 5-6 years ago but have fixed most of them by now.

Devices affected:

Vivo X 50/60/70/80: These devices all had green/pink line issues, spread globally. However there were barely, if any, issues about their motherboard. Which shows that the display issue is due to poor quality control during the assembly.

Other Vivo phones: Many other low-end models had these green/pink line display issues but have now been reduced greatly in the last 2 years.

IQOO 7 and 9 series: There were many cases of green line on these devices which lead to IQOO addressing and assuring consumers that they are actively working to fix all of these issues.

Other IQOO phones: There have been reports of isolated cases of many other IQOO phones but nothing as widespread.

Green/Pink line display issues have been reported in oppo and realme devices, and there have been very small issues of motherboard with realme but nothing too widespread like some other brands.

Again, these issues seem to be more prevalent in South Asia and Africa, pointing towards poor quality checks during assembly. These issues seem to be more prevalent in the last 3 years, so the score is lower.

With the amount of devices oppo and realme sell, the % of affected devices is pretty low and controlled.

Devices affected:

Oppo find x2/x3 series: There have been reports from users of find x2 users getting green line after a year or two of usage, but there have been no major reports of display issues in Find x5 series.

Oppo Reno series: Reno 5 and 6 seemed to have more prevalent complaints of green line display issues, but there haven't been any major issues in the last 2 years.

Realme GT2: This device particularly had more frequent green line display issues.
